The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Chairperson Michael Grodi

- Presentation by Mike Gaboury on the iEvac escape hood.

Public Comment:

None

Approval of Meeting Minutes:

The minutes for the April 2011 meeting were presented for review.  A motion “to approve the minutes” was

made by Ann Russell and seconded by Patrick Spidell. Motion carried unanimously.

Executive Secretary Report / Council Update: 

All 2010 training reports have been recorded

Jim Reed informed the Advisory Board that the Council held a special meeting and appointed Bob

Noordhoek as Deputy Executive Secretary and added an addendum, that when Jim Reed retires in June,

Mr. Noordhoek will become the Executive Secretary.

Sheriff Koops has replaced Sheriff Hines on the Council, effective immediately

Committee Reports:

Hiring Standards Committee:

Has not met.  Members are Mike Grodi, Ann Russell & Pat Weir

Certification / Decertification:

Awaiting direction from the Council.  Members are Pat Spidell, Ann Russell & Jon Campbell.

Decertification of Counties Subcommittee: 

Awaiting direction from the Council.  Members are Sheriff Beracy and Mike Grodi.

Curriculum Committee:

Has not met.  Members are Sheriff Roesler and Mike Gaboury

Old Business:

New Business:

Mike Gaboury gave a presentation on the iEvac escape hood.  Will research for the possibility of adding it to

the Fire Safety Curriculum.

Motion to “adjourn” by Jon Campbell, second by Sheriff Roesler.  Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
